Full job description

Santé Circle Health is looking for a Senior Accountant to support the Finance team in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and fostering strong working relationships across the organization. This individual will work closely with a broader team, including Operations, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in financial processes, along with a proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach as well as effective communication skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with a high level of detail, while partnering with Finance colleagues and operational teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and support overall operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations & Accounting

Assist with month end entries and reconciliations for multiple entities
Support contract invoicing and revenue reporting, accessing multiple software systems
Ensure completeness of contract revenue and related costs
Adhere to revenue recognition policies utilizing WIP inventory
Gross margin review and analysis
Support external audit by providing documentation as required.

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with Finance colleagues and operational teams to support accurate financial processes.
Communicate professionally with internal teams and external clients and vendors regarding invoicing and account inquiries.
Contribute to a collaborative and solutions-focused team environment.
Support timely resolution of issues while maintaining positive working relationships.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

Ensure financial activities align with internal policies and controls.
Maintain audit-ready documentation and support audit activities as required.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and collaboration.

Skills:

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP functions, complex formulas, data analysis, and reconciliation of large data sets.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across the organization.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative and solutions-focused team environment.

Qualifications:

CPA designation or close to completing their CPA, with consideration also given to candidates who bring substantial experience in a Senior Accountant capacity
Minimum 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience
Experience using accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Online, Netsuite).
Experience working with multiple entities would be considered an asset.
Experience working with insurance claim or project-based billing would be considered an asset.
Experience working in a healthcare or service-based organization would be considered an asset.

This position is compensated on a salaried basis. The expected annual earnings for this role range from $80,000 - $90,000.
