Private Chef – South Indian Cuisine

Location: Cambridge, ON
Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour
Schedule: 4 days per week, 7:30 AM – Finish
Job Type: Part-time

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Private Chef with expertise in preparing South Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine.

This is a one-person kitchen role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of meal preparation, including planning, ingredient procurement, food preparation, cooking, and kitchen cleanup.

The chef will be required to prepare breakfast and lunch, 4 times per week.

Responsibilities

Prepare high-quality South Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals.
Prepare breakfast and lunch according to requirements and preferences.
Plan meals and organize ingredients required for daily preparation.
Purchase and procure fresh ingredients as needed; approved expenses will be reimbursed.
Handle all food preparation, cooking, and presentation independently.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
Complete all kitchen cleanup after meal preparation.
Follow proper food safety and hygiene procedures.
Manage the kitchen independently and efficiently.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef, Cook, or Private Chef.
Proven experience preparing South Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine.
Ability to independently manage all aspects of a kitchen.
Valid Food Handler Certification is required.
Must be able to complete a background check.
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
Ability to purchase and manage ingredients as required.

Schedule & Pay

4 days per week
7:30 AM – Finish
$30.00 per hour
Ingredient expenses will be reimbursed.
