The Merchandising support provides assistance to the Showroom Merchandiser & Store Manager s in ensuring the store complies with the corporate floor plan, back room areas are properly maintained and follows all La-Z-Boy procedures and policies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Duties and Responsibilities of the Merchandising Support include but are not limited to the following:
In partnership with the store manager, the Merchandising support will
- Safely prepare, pick, stage, and load customer orders into customer vehicles, ensuring accuracy and exceptional customer service.
- Receive, inspect, organize, and manage incoming and outgoing inventory, transfers, and backroom storage.
- Prepare products for the showroom by assembling furniture, attaching price tags and sales documentation, and placing merchandise according to corporate merchandising standards.
- Assist with showroom resets, product moves, floor plan updates, and accessory displays as directed.
- Maintain the appearance and functionality of showroom merchandise, including furniture adjustments, lighting, clocks, fireplaces, motion furniture, and general product upkeep.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe showroom and backroom, including recycling, housekeeping, storage organization, and compliance with Health & Safety and 5S standards.
- Identify, report, and assist in resolving maintenance and safety concerns to provide a safe environment for customers and employees.
- Perform other duties reasonably assigned within the scope of the Merchandising Assistant position.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- · Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. utilizing dolly’s and hand truck for assistance;
- · Able to work on your feet for long periods of time, with continuous walking through a retail showroom;
- · Able to work on ladders (training at heights certification or background preferred);
- · Able to work independently and at a fast pace;
- · Able to listen and take direction
- · Able to work with basic power tools
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This role is one that can be physically demanding and the right person much be physically able to accomplish the following requirements to successful perform the role:
- · Extended standing and walking
- · Daily lifting, and moving of weights up to 50+ lbs.
- · Working at heights within the building on step and platform ladders when needed
- · Work at a fast pace
