We are seeking a Casual Registered Social Worker/Social Worker Intern to join our team and help drive impactful initiatives that support our mission. They should be willing and able to enhance quality of life through psycho-social therapeutic approaches and interventions with residents/patients and their family members.

· Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Role Requirements
· Master's of Social Work degree in progress or completed
· Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or working towards the registration
· For Social Worker Intern - Previous experience at LIH or Hospice required
· Recent experience in social work, experience in palliative care setting an asset.
· Strong knowledge of external resources appropriate for families in need of complex bereavement support.
· Experience developing effective partnerships with community agencies and community groups
· Experience working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
· Valid driver’s license
· Police Vulnerable Sector Check required
· Committed to ongoing education and learning opportunities
What You Can Expect
· Interacts with residents/patients, family members, staff and volunteers in a hospice residences’ care setting
· Travel between individual care sites will be required
· Hours of work are typically between 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; on occasion, hours of work may need to be flexed to enable meetings with residents or family, or to attend organizational meetings outside of those hours those
SW is $36.00-$47.60
SW intern is $27.50-$33.50
