Full job description

Job Summary

Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Administrative Assistant & Sterilization Technician, where your energy and attention to detail will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. In this multifaceted position, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate patient appointments, and ensure the highest standards of sterilization and infection control. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for patients while supporting the clinical team with efficient sterilization procedures. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in/out processes using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic.
Verify patient information, update records, and handle billing and insurance claims accurately.
Maintain sterilization protocols by preparing and sterilizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
Assist with clinical procedures by passing instruments, taking digital impressions, or supporting orthodontic or pediatric treatments as needed.
Manage incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience.
Keep the treatment area organized, stock supplies, and ensure all sterilization equipment is functioning properly.
Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as data entry, record keeping, and appointment reminders.

Requirements

Previous experience with dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology and dental assisting procedures is essential.
Familiarity with sterilization techniques and infection control standards in a dental setting.
Experience working with orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to learn CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools for digital impressions or orthodontic planning is advantageous.
