Able Air Conditioning & Heating is looking for a confident, highly organized HVAC Service Coordinator / Dispatcher to join our team.
This is not simply a receptionist position. You will play a major role in the daily operation and profitability of our service department. You'll coordinate technicians, manage the service board, communicate with customers, follow up on repairs and estimates, and help turn service opportunities into completed work.

Compensation
$22.00–$26.00 per hour + Commission

Your hourly wage is only part of your earning potential. This position includes opportunities to earn additional commission through qualifying service-related sales and conversions.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Service Coordinator, you will take ownership of the daily service schedule and help keep our technicians productive throughout the day.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Answering incoming service calls and booking appointments
- Scheduling and dispatching HVAC service technicians
- Managing and optimizing the daily service board
- Assigning calls based on technician location, skill level, availability, and urgency
- Keeping customers informed of appointment times and technician arrival updates
- Handling schedule changes and unexpected service situations
- Reviewing technician notes and ensuring calls are properly completed
- Following up on recommended repairs and outstanding estimates
- Obtaining customer approval for repairs
- Coordinating parts ordering and return appointments
- Scheduling maintenance and tune-up appointments
- Following up with customers regarding maintenance plans and renewals
- Helping convert incoming inquiries into booked service calls
- Following up on unsold service and repair opportunities
- Communicating with technicians throughout the day
- Working closely with management, sales, installers, and office staff
- Maintaining accurate customer, equipment, and service records
- Helping ensure technicians have productive schedules with minimal downtime
- Providing professional solutions when dealing with customer concerns
Sales & Commission Opportunities

Commission opportunities may include qualifying:
- Maintenance-plan enrollments
- Repair estimate conversions
- Accessory and indoor-air-quality opportunities

There is no need for high-pressure selling. Your job is to identify legitimate customer needs, clearly communicate available options, and make sure opportunities don't fall through the cracks.
Who We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate has previous experience working in an HVAC, plumbing, electrical, home-service, or similar service-based company.
HVAC experience is strongly preferred.
You should be:

HVAC Experience Is a Major Asset
Candidates with experience using HVAC or home-service terminology will have an advantage.
Knowledge of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, thermostats, maintenance, service calls, warranties, parts, and repair processes will help you succeed quickly in this position.
Previous experience with HVAC dispatching or service-management software is also an asset.
