Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations within our busy food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a high level of operational efficiency. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team in a fast-paced setting while fostering a positive work environment.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts to ensure smooth workflow and excellent customer experiences.
Lead and motivate team members, providing guidance on food preparation, cooking, serving, and food handling procedures.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations across all areas of the restaurant.
Assist in training new staff members on restaurant policies, food safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to uphold high levels of customer satisfaction.
Oversee food presentation and quality control during service to ensure consistency and excellence.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas throughout the shift.
Support restaurant management in implementing policies, managing staff schedules, and achieving operational goals.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Supervising experience in a fast-paced food industry environment is highly desirable.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience is preferred.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Familiarity with kitchen operations, serving protocols, and the food industry landscape.
Barista experience or background in beverage preparation is considered an asset.
