Acting Assistant Principal of Bentley School
Duties to commence upon selection of a suitable candidate and will continue until January 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension.
Bentley School has approximately 23 teachers and 14 support staff. It serves approximately 433 students by providing a welcoming, inclusive learning environment that uses innovative, collaborative educational practices for Pre-K to Grade 12. Bentley School is a student-centered team that works together to support the social and emotional well-being of every student.
The acting assistant principal selection committee is seeking an innovative and visionary leader with an excellent background as a classroom teacher and administrator in Pre-Kindergarten - Grade 12 environments.
The ideal candidate will possess exemplary interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering a collaborative environment. The acting assistant principal of the Bentley School will be expected to continue building on a proud tradition of actively partnering with the community to deliver the best possible educational experience for all students.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in the following areas:

Evidence of teaching and leadership experience with diverse students.

Evidence of strong foundational knowledge about First Nations, Métis & Inuit for the benefit of all students.

Evidence of a thorough understanding and application of current educational research.

Successful candidates must demonstrate evidence of achievement of a Master of Education degree within the first three years of their assistant principal position.

Evidence of high expectations for student achievement, literacy assessment, and effective literacy programming and interventions.
