The Crossing Resort is a family owned and operated seasonal employer open from mid-April to mid-October. We are in Banff National Park, 80 kms north of Lake Louise, Alberta on the Icefield's Highway. The Parkway is marketed as one of the top ten most scenic drives in Canada. The Crossing boosts the best hiking the Canadian Rockies has to offer.

Transitioning to this work and lifestyle adventure could not be easier! We provide staff accommodation and all meals and snacks for under $400/month! The Crossing will train, absorb some ground transportation cost, provide uniforms, all bed and bathroom linens as well as some amenities. Are you a culinary pro who thrives when the tickets are flying and the kitchen is humming? Do you take pride in sending out a plate that looks as good as it tastes? If you’ve got the speed, the skills, and the "mise en place" mindset, we want you on our line.

We are looking for a passionate Line Cook to join the heart of the house at The Crossing Resort

What You’ll Do

As a Line Cook, you are the precision engine of our kitchen. You’ll turn raw ingredients into the signature dishes our guests crave.

Execute the Menu: Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
Master Your Station: Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked station throughout the shift. When the rush hits, you’re ready.
Quality Control: Follow recipes exactly and maintain consistent plating standards. If it’s not perfect, it doesn’t leave the window.
Safety & Sanitation: Adhere to all food safety regulations, including temperature logging, labeling, and cross-contamination prevention.
Team Synergy: Communicate clearly with the Sous Chef and the front-of-house team to ensure every guest gets their meal timed perfectly.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen (preferred but not required for the right attitude).
Technical Skill: Solid knife skills and a deep understanding of various cooking methods (searing, braising, sautéing, etc.).
Cool Under Pressure: You don't break a sweat when the dining room is full and the printer doesn't stop.
Reliability: You’re a pro who shows up ready to work, respects the schedule, and supports your teammates.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, work in a hot environment, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
