The Opportunity
New-Line is growing and currently seeking a full-time Production Assembler to join our Evening Shift team, working Monday to Friday, 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Please note: Successful candidates will complete approximately four weeks of paid training on our Day Shift (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.). Some flexibility with the training schedule may be available, including adjusted start and end times within the day shift. Once training is successfully completed, you will transition to your permanent Evening Shift schedule.
Production Assemblers play an important role in supporting our customer-focused operations by building hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies in a fast-paced production environment. You will work on a wide range of assemblies - from basic air and water hoses to critical petroleum and high-pressure hydraulic assemblies - while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and accuracy.
Previous assembly experience is preferred; however, candidates who are mechanically inclined and eager to learn a specialized trade are encouraged to apply. If you believe you would be a strong fit for this role, we encourage you to tell us why in your application.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Build hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies according to detailed specifications and quality standards
- Assemble products ranging from standard hose assemblies to critical high-pressure and petroleum applications
- Use a variety of tools and equipment to complete assembly work safely and accurately
- Test and certify assemblies for various applications while ensuring compliance with quality and safety requirements
- Maintain accuracy and consistency while working toward daily production targets and operational goals
- Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area
- Work collaboratively with team members to support smooth production operations
- Apply problem-solving skills to identify and resolve assembly or production issues
- Support additional production or warehouse duties as assigned
What You Bring
You have:
- A strong mechanical aptitude and enjoy hands-on work using tools and equipment (A background in trades or industrial production is preferred)
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail when building assemblies to strict quality standards
- The ability to self-manage, work independently, and effectively pace your day while meeting production goals and objectives
- Outstanding teamwork and communication skills; you collaborate effectively and contribute positively to the team environment
- Strong organizational skills and enjoy working in a clean and organized workspace
- A detail-oriented mindset, particularly when testing and certifying critical assemblies
- The ability to safely lift, push, and pull, and the awareness to ask for help when needed to maintain a safe work environment
- An interest in learning about a specialized industry and developing strong product knowledge
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use logic and experience to help keep the customer moving
- The ability to attend approximately four weeks of training on the Day Shift before transitioning to the permanent Evening Shift.
- A desire to join a growing team, contribute to team success, and continue developing your skills within the organization
