Western Rugged Tools, a subsidiary of Surrey Cedar Ltd seeks ambitious sales person.
Base wage of 49,000 to 55,000 plus comission.
Last years comissions were ~ $10,000 and there is substantial opportunity for growth from there.
Results oriented , the candidate can use their strong desire to make sales and build relationships using our extensive CRM database (NetSuite/Salesforce).
We have an established customer base and our product lines are simple, so if you have a strong sales acumen, experience with our products (tarps and canopies) is not required.
This position is in house (no travel required). You will work hand in hand with our outside sales rep to generate sales through phone calls, emails and social media.
While business development is the primary focus of this role, you will handle all inbound calls as well as direct the warehouse/shipping staff, ensuring great customer service.
We have a lot of great leads to get you started as well as an established customer base, guaranteeing comissions from day 1.
There is a significant opportunity for sales growth for a proactive sales person.

Duties
- Develop new business through phone calls, emails, social media.
- Support outside sales staff by setting appointments and prioritizing customer service initiatives.
- Maintain existing customer base through proactive communication.
- Accurately enter order (NetSuite) and work with warehouse staff to ensure order accruacy and inventory control.
- Assist with creating and implementing marketing strategies.
- Proactively maintaining CRM database.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years in the Lumber industry or other industry related to Building Supplies preferred but if you've got a good track record in outbound sales, please feel free to apply.
- Must have delivered concrete results in sales and marketing.
- Must have delivered concrete results in terms of sales growth and profitability.
- Must have the ability to work in an organized manner, have a work ethic where judgment, logical reasoning and initiative are advocated and used daily.
- Must be able to adapt to changes, delays and unforeseen events in a positive and professional manner.
Skills
- Experienced in cold calling and new business development.
