Full job description

Under the general direction of the Banquets Manager or Banquet Captain, this position is responsible for the overall guest experience of one or more events. Ensures adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports the company’s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

Attends pre shift meetings and reviews BEO’s
Arrange tables, chairs, linens, place settings and decorations
Set up buffets and service stations
Greet guests, answer questions and provide information
Serve plated meals, buffet items and beverages
Clear plates between courses, refill water and drinks maintain table maintenance
Execution of event breakdown: clear all tables, clean event space and appropriately store equipment
Ensures high guest satisfaction, resolves complaints, interacts with customers and maintains a positive atmosphere
Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments including culinary team during events
Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and team members
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Manages other initiatives as required

Education and Qualifications

Minimum 1 year customer service experience
Banquets experience an asset
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Serving it Right certification
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
