Job Description

Horizon Machine & Design Inc. is looking for an experienced CNC Mazak Lathe Operator to join our afternoon/evening shift.

We are looking for someone who can operate CNC lathes, complete setups, perform first-off inspections, make offsets and basic program adjustments, and take ownership of the quality and productivity of their work.

Experience with Mazak equipment and MAZATROL controls is strongly preferred. Mazak Integrex experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

· Set up and operate Mazak CNC lathes.

· Complete setups, tooling changes, offsets and workholding adjustments.

· Perform first-off and in-process inspections.

· Make offsets and basic program modifications as required.

· Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and work instructions.

· Use precision measuring equipment to verify part quality.

· Identify and troubleshoot common machining, tooling and dimensional issues.

· Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation.

· Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.

· Communicate effectively with production and quality personnel.

Skills & Experience

· CNC lathe experience required.

· CNC lathe setup experience preferred.

· Mazak / MAZATROL experience strongly preferred.

· Approximately 3+ years CNC machining experience preferred.

· Ability to read engineering drawings and understand dimensional tolerances.

· Experience using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges and other measuring equipment.

· Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.

· Mazak Integrex experience is an asset.

· Reliable, punctual and engaged in your work.

· Able to safely lift and move components weighing up to approximately 50 lbs.

Compensation

$26.00–$34.00 per hour, depending on experience, setup capability and technical skill.

Additional consideration may be given for strong Mazak Integrex, advanced setup or programming experience.

Schedule

· Afternoon/Evening Shift

· Overtime as required
