Parkwood is a fast-moving home builder. We build highly personalized homes, which means our sales process is not just unlocking a showhome door and pointing at a floorplan. Customers have questions. They have budgets, timelines, wish lists, nerves, Pinterest boards, and occasionally one person who wants the spice kitchen while the other one just wants the garage to fit the truck.
This is a role for someone who wants to grow. Future sales leader, current follow-up machine.
This is not a casual showhome shift role. It is a learn-the-business, build-the-pipeline, earn-the-next-step role for someone who wants a real career in new home sales.

What You'll Do
This role is about learning how new home sales actually works while helping the sales team deliver a better customer experience every day. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Assistant Area Manager will:
· Greet prospective homebuyers in our showhomes and create a strong first impression
· Learn how to qualify customers by understanding their needs, budget, timing, lifestyle, and buying motivation
· Support Area Sales Managers with lead follow-up, appointment booking, customer communication, and next steps
· Keep accurate CRM notes, inquiry logs, customer records, and sales files
· Learn Parkwood floorplans, communities, pricing, options, included features, and competitive positioning
· Assist with sales documents, contracts, pricing information, and customer file preparation
· Keep the showhome and sales centre clean, organized, stocked, and customer-ready
· Support open houses, community launches, events, and other sales activities
· Track customer questions, objections, and feedback so the team can continuously improve how we sell
· Build the habits required to eventually manage your own sales area, customer pipeline, and results
What success looks like in the first 3 months:
· Customers are greeted, qualified, followed up with, and supported consistently
· CRM notes and customer files are clean, current, and actually useful
· Area Sales Managers can trust you to handle follow-up without being chased
· You understand Parkwood communities, models, pricing, options, and the basics of the new home sales process
· You are starting to carry more customer responsibility and showing good judgment with buyers
· The sales centre feels organized, professional, and ready for traffic
· You are building the confidence, product knowledge, and discipline needed to grow into an Area Sales Manager role
Who you are
· A people person who can also handle the details. Charm is helpful. Follow-up is mandatory.
· Curious and coachable: you want to learn how customers buy, how communities sell, and how a deal comes together
· Organized enough that leads do not disappear into the mysterious black hole of good intentions
· Comfortable talking to new people, asking good questions, and listening for what really matters
· Professional in person, over the phone, by email, and in the small moments customers remember
· Motivated by growth, responsibility, and results without needing to be the loudest person in the room
· Willing to work evenings, weekends, and showhome hours because that is when buyers show up
Experience that helps (we're flexible on the exact path):
· Customer service, sales, real estate, homebuilding, design, hospitality, or another client-facing role
· Comfort using Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and basic sales technology
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Interest in homes, communities, design, customer experience, and the homebuying process
· Ability to stay organized while managing multiple leads, tasks, follow-ups, and deadlines
· A track record of reliability, ownership, and doing what you said you would do
What we are not looking for
This role is probably not a fit if:
· You are only looking for casual part-time work
· You do not enjoy follow-up, paperwork, or working weekends
· You want the title before learning the process
· You need constant reminders to follow through
· You are not comfortable being coached, measured, or held accountable for customer experience and sales activity
· You think sales is just talking. It is also listening, documenting, following up, and doing the boring things well

Pay: $40,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
