Skilled Shop Laborer (Mechanical Aptitude)
Leduc, AB

Salary: $22-$28 per hour (depending on experience)
Room for performance-based raises

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are looking for a reliable and mechanically inclined Skilled Shop Laborer to join our team in Leduc. This hands-on role involves supporting daily shop operations, performing basic maintenance and repairs on shop equipment, and ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist machine operators with day-to-day tasks
Perform basic maintenance and repairs on shop equipment, including forklifts, air compressors, and CNC machines
Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe
Maintain accurate shipping/receiving records
Perform quality control checks on parts before shipping
Operate equipment (including forklift/loader) in a safe and efficient manner
Assist Plasma Table and Laser Table staff
Help maintain inventory of stock parts
Maintain shop tools and equipment in good working condition

Requirements:

Shipping and receiving experience
Forklift experience and ability to operate safely
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform basic repairs on shop equipment
Reliable transportation
Willingness to work overtime when needed
Good work ethic and ability to work well in a team

Assets (considered a plus):

Bandsaw experience
Plasma table or welding experience
Angle grinder experience
Drill press experience
Experience reading measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
