Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Counter Sales Representative to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional service to customers, managing sales transactions, and supporting the overall operations of our retail or dealership environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of automotive or retail sales, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Experience with dealership operations, POS systems, and bilingual capabilities are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and sales performance.

Duties

Assist customers in selecting products and services that meet their needs, providing expert advice on automotive parts or retail items.
Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash or electronic payments with integrity.
Maintain organized product displays and ensure inventory is stocked and properly labeled for easy customer access.
Engage with customers via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
Support order fulfillment by accurately preparing parts or products for pickup or delivery.
Promote additional products or services through effective marketing techniques and upselling strategies.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations, including maintaining cleanliness and organization of the sales area.
Keep up-to-date with product knowledge, dealership promotions, and industry trends to better serve customers.

Qualifications

Automotive parts knowledge

Prior experience in dealership sales, retail sales, or automotive repair is preferred.
Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Excel, and basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and negotiation abilities.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or sales management tools is advantageous.
Experience with cashiering, customer service, marketing, and order fulfillment enhances candidacy.
Demonstrated ability to handle cash handling responsibilities responsibly while maintaining accuracy and integrity. This position offers an engaging work environment where your sales expertise and customer service skills can thrive while contributing to the success of our organization.

Pay: $18.00-$28.30 per hour
