Full job description

Friend & Dobson lawyers is seeking a diligent, motivated individual to join our growing team. We offer a hybrid work environment, with combined in-office and work from home. The successful candidate would be required to work in office 3 days per week (in Lindsay) and would be able to work from home the remaining 2 days per week. We offer a collegial and supportive work environment, with an emphasis on work-life balance.

Duties will include:

managing real estate transactions (residential, commercial, agricultural, purchases, sales, refinances, etc.) from start to finish
preparing all required documents for transactions, including reporting to the clients and lenders, for lawyer review;
monitoring undertakings;
communications with clients, law firms, financial institutions and other third parties
diarizing and monitoring deadlines;
general clerical support including, but not limited to, answering phones, sending couriers, scheduling and preparing for appointments, preparing accounts;
maintain electronic files in Clio, and in the Firm's internal drive;
other duties as required.

Requirements:

paralegal/law clerk diploma (or relevant experience)
strong organizational and time management skills
strong drafting skills
excellent interpersonal and communication skills
attention to detail
ability to maintain client confidentiality
initiative and ability to work independently and as a team
strong knowledge of Teraview, Unity, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, videoconferencing platforms, and Clio
Experience in wills and estates an asset, but not required

Salary: starting at $50,000-$55,000 per year; salary will be commensurate with experience. Group benefits available.
