Emcon Services Inc.is a proud Canadian based company with over 30 years of success as an interprovincial road and bridge maintenance contractor. We currently have an opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our mechanical team as 310T Certified Technician for our Sudbury, Ontario division at our Lively, Ontario shop.

We welcome and encourage applications from 310 J Truck–Trailer Service Technicians, as well as 3rd year apprentices, as we have apprenticeship developmental programs in place.

Compensation & Additional Information:

Hourly rate will be based on experience and qualifications, as per the collective agreement;
This position includes participation in on-call rotations, with opportunity for overtime (OT);
Company vehicle may be provided while on-call, as required.

Qualifications include:

Licensed Truck & Coach Mechanic (310T);
310J Truck–Trailer Service Technician license considered an asset;
3rd year apprentices are welcome for our developmental program;
Registered for DriveOn portal;
Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence;
Knowledge and experience in Preventative Maintenance Programs;
Knowledge and experience in engine/emission diagnostics, electrical diagnostics and repair;
Knowledge and experience in heavy truck hydraulics, pneumatics, brakes, suspension, and steering;
Knowledge and experience on Bosch Rexroth salt management system;
Knowledge and experience in fabrication and welding considered an asset;
Good knowledge of trade related worksite safety;
Experience on industry related heavy-duty equipment such as gravel trucks, snow-plow trucks, winter maintenance attachments, loaders, grader, sweepers, mowers, backhoes, tractors, etc.
Capable of working overtime as required
Capable of performing call out to attend vehicle breakdown

The role is a unionized role.

Pay Rate: minimum of $40.08 hourly but negotiable; based on experience, skill set, qualifications, and location of the position.
