Full job description

Dunwald and Fleming Enterprises Ltd. (D&F) is a civil construction company based in Calgary, working across different provinces on earthworks, underground utilities, and infrastructure projects. We take pride in running safe, efficient jobs and delivering quality work.

We are currently hiring reliable, hard-working individuals to join our HDD crew for a project in Macklin, Saskatchewan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work safely and effectively in fast-paced, high-noise environments while maintaining constant awareness of hazards.
Identify and assess potential risks by conducting field level hazard assessments and equipment inspections in accordance with company safety policies
Perform horizontal directional drilling (HDD and locating activities using equipment such as 10X15, 23X30, 36X50, and 80X100 drills, along with DigiTrak F5 and Falcon locating systems
Physically fit and able to work in an outdoor environment for 10 hours a day, while working around and exposing utilities following ABCGA best practices.
Maintain a strong and consistent production pace while aligning with safe work practices
Complete daily preventative maintenance on equipment and perform minor repairs as required
Interpret utility locates, ensure permits are in place, and coordinate work accordingly
Set up and maintain work sites, including pedestrian control measures and traffic management plans

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 1 years’ experience in HDD Drilling and/or locating
Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a minimum of three years of insurable driving history
Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions
Valid Ground Disturbance Level II safety certificate
Preference will be given to candidates with valid safety tickets (CSTS-2020, WHMIS, First Aid, Confined Space)
Ability to work safely and follow all site procedures
Out-of-town work may be required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
