Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a interst in automotive repair and customer service, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and technicians alike. As a Service Writer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by accurately documenting service requests, providing estimates, and facilitating communication throughout the repair process.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and assess their service needs in a friendly and professional manner.
Document customer information and vehicle service requests accurately.
Provide detailed estimates for repairs and services based on mechanical knowledge and training provided.
Communicate effectively with technicians to relay customer concerns and ensure accurate repairs.
Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of payments received.
Follow up with customers regarding service completion and satisfaction levels.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

Previous experience is preferred but not required.
Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes is an asset but not required.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Proven sales ability, particularly in upselling automotive services or products.
Experience in cash handling and basic accounting practices is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
