Full job description

Operate loading equipment safely while supporting yard operations, inventory control, and customer service.

B&R Eckel’s is a Canadian transportation company with terminals in Bonnyville, Lloydminster, and Nisku. Since 1965, our experienced team has delivered dependable service for a wide range of transportation needs.

We value our employees and provide the tools, training, and workplace support they need to succeed. We are currently seeking a Loader Operator to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Load and unload customer product.
Rack and tally customer product in the terminal.
Supervise a crew of two other workers (swampers).
Ensure the safety of all workers in the assigned work area.
Support terminal personnel so inventory control and customer service functions are completed on time.
Comply with each customer’s reporting requirements.
Assist with daily, semi-annual, and annual inventory counts.
Assist with other department activities assigned by the supervisor.
Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
Operate loaders, graders, crawler tractors, and other machinery as required. Current equipment certification is required.
Keep all company-required training current.

Qualifications

High school diploma.
At least one year of experience in yard operations.
Certification to operate a loader.
Demonstrated safe work practices.
Strong documentation skills.
