The Blue Spruce Builder is a growing construction company proudly serving the Lloydminster area. We are committed to quality craftsmanship, safety, and building a strong team environment. Due to increased demand, we are looking to expand our dedicated crew.
We are currently hiring for the following positions:
- Journeyman Carpenters
- Experienced Framers
- Carpenter Apprentices (1st to 4th Year)
Key Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will be involved in various aspects of residential and light commercial construction, with a primary focus on structural work. Duties include:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Constructing, erecting, and repairing wood structures and frameworks, including walls, floors, and roofs.
- Preparing layouts in conformance to building codes.
- Building and setting concrete forms for foundations, footings, and walls.
- Ensuring all work is completed with precision and meets our high-quality standards.
- Operating power tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Working collaboratively with the team to meet project deadlines.
- Maintaining a clean and safe job site in accordance with safety regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
All applicants MUST have:
- Demonstrable experience in wood framing AND concrete foundation work (formwork/cribbing).
- A valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to get to various job sites in and around Lloydminster.
- A strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
- The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials.
- Your own basic hand tools and tool belt.
Specific Role Requirements:
- Journeyman Carpenter: Must hold a Journeyman Carpenter certification (Red Seal is a strong asset). Expected to lead small crews and mentor apprentices.
- Experienced Framer: Minimum 3+ years of dedicated framing experience. Must be able to work independently and efficiently from blueprints.
- Apprentice: Must be registered or willing to register with the appropriate Apprenticeship and Industry Training board. A strong desire to learn the trade and a commitment to your apprenticeship is essential.

Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
