Course Information

Focus on leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of positive curricular change. Emphasis on ways of conceptualizing curriculum leadership and advocacy and professional learning and reflective practice to promote equitable and enabling environments for all. The course will give students opportunities to explore curriculum leadership in their MPED focus.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for all activities associated with the successful delivery of the course, including but not limited to: developing, preparing, and delivering the course; setting and marking examinations, assessing the academic work of students, and reporting grades.

Candidates must be willing to undertake training as required by the Employer including, but not limited to, training in respect of health and safety, harassment and discrimination, and legislated service standards.

Qualifications

Candidate must have a) a PhD in Education or an EdD, with an emphasis in curriculum, b) demonstrated professional and or academic/research practice in the area of curriculum, curriculum design and development, or teaching and learning in K – 12 and other learning environments, c) thorough theoretical and practical knowledge of constructing and implementing curriculum, and d) curriculum leadership experience or research expertise in schools or other learning environments. Desirable additional qualifications would include a good publication record, demonstrable expertise in any curriculum field, robust experience in teaching online, and documented success teaching at the graduate level.
