Responsibilities

Purpose of the Role
Western University is home to one of the leading athletic programs in the country. This exciting opportunity allows you to be part of the Mustangs Athletics team as a member of the Events Staff. Reporting to the Event Manager and Gameday Coordinators, Events Staff work across all sport competitions and scheduled special events. Events Staff are responsible for helping create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for athletes, alumni, and spectators, while ensuring that venues and event spaces meet the holistic needs of our campus community.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, clean, and organize venues prior to events
Set up and tear down equipment before and after events
Assist with game-day promotions and fan engagement activities
Work concession stands, including serving food and beverages
Provide guest services such as ticketing, ushering, and responding to spectator inquiries

Minimum Qualifications

First Aid and CPR certification
Strong customer service skills
Flexible availability (days, evenings, and weekends)
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Team-oriented mindset
Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, facilities, and services is considered an asset
Must be a full time student at Western (enrolled in minimum 3.5 courses), and expect to retain full-time student status for the duration of this appointment
