Role Overview

Black Fly is seeking a millwright to add to its experienced maintenance team to support a large expansion which is greatly increasing production capabilities. The Millwright is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving highly automated beverage manufacturing equipment to support safe and efficient production operations. Working as part of the Maintenance Team, this role supports preventative maintenance programs, equipment reliability, emergency repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. The Millwright works closely with Production, Quality, and other departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety, quality, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot highly automated mixing, filling and packaging equipment
Responding to emergency breakdowns, completing repairs and overhauls
Completing PMs as assigned, creating work orders on the CMMS system Fiix
Fabrication and equipment modification
Working with other departments including production, QC and capital projects/continous improvement to achieve goals
Adhere to and support OH&S, 5s, Food Safety, and other company policies and initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements

Journeyperson licensed millwright (433A/Red Seal)
Certification of apprenticeship required
Preferred experience: previous food or beverage experience working with high-speed filling and packaging equipment
Ability to work independently as well as with a team in a fast-paced environment
Atrong work ethic and attention to detail
Supply your own basic tools
Willingness to learn

Working Conditions

Currently Available Shift - Rotating days/afternoons, including:
---6 weeks days: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm
---2 weeks afternoons: Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm
Opportunity to freely swap shifts with other trades, opportunities for OT
Fast-paced beverage production environment.
Requires standing for long periods, repetitive tasks, and ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
Exposure to varying noise levels, moisture, and temperature changes.
Overtime, weekend, or holiday work may occasionally be required, with pay and scheduling handled in compliance with ESA standards.
