Full job description

London X-Ray Associates (LXA) is seeking certified Diagnostic Medical Sonographers who would like to join our team in London, Ontario. Candidates would be joining an experienced team of sonographers and academic radiologists who support continuous education and a high-quality community medical imaging practice. LXA clinics are clinical practice sites for ultrasound students.

Required Qualifications:

· Must be a current member in good standing with Sonography Canada and CMRITO registrations, ARDMS will be considered.

· A graduate of Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Ultrasound Program, from a College of Applied Arts and Technology or University.

· Must be a generalist sonographer, with an interest in obstetrical and gynecological imaging and vascular ultrasound considered an asset.

· Preference for 1 year of recent experience, new grads are welcome to apply.

· Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of general sonography (abdomen, pelvis, vascular, obstetrics).

Must operate medical imaging equipment to produce high quality diagnostic images in accordance with the Standards of Practice.
Strong computer skills in RIS PACS.

· Evidence of sound organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work well in stressful situations.

· Keen interest in ongoing CME education and an eagerness to learn new ultrasound skills and subspecialties.

· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills with the ability to deal courteously and effectively with patients, families, physicians and other members of the health care team.

· Ability to work well independently and to exercise sound judgment.

· Demonstrates a commitment to delivering people-centered, compassionate care and exceptional customer service when interacting with patients, families, radiologists, colleagues, and members of the public, fostering respectful, professional, and collaborative relationships.

· Ability to perform the essential duties of the position.

· Demonstrated pattern of good attendance.

Immunization Requirements:

Before beginning employment at LXA, all new hires will be required to:

· Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis;

· Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step);

· Provide proof of Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccination reflective of Ontario

Health’s current definition of being fully vaccinated.
