Full job description

Our Surrey based real estate client is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join the team.

**Competitive salary in the $80,000 - $95,000 range**

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with large data sets, and has advanced Excel skills.

The Financial Analyst will support the financial performance and operational analysis of a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, with a strong focus on insurance analysis, rent reviews, leasing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze commercial property financial performance across multiple assets and portfolios
Prepare and maintain detailed financial models and reporting tools in Microsoft Excel
Conduct lease analysis including rent escalations, recoveries, CAM reconciliations, and tenant billing reviews
Review and analyze insurance expenses, renewals, allocations, and cost recovery opportunities
Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
Monitor rental revenue trends, vacancy impacts, and operating expenses
Produce monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports for management
Assist with acquisition, refinancing, and investment analysis as required
Identify operational efficiencies and opportunities for cost savings
Collaborate with property managers, accounting teams, leasing teams, and external stakeholders

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, or related field
3+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within commercial real estate or property management
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
Experience analyzing leases, rental structures, operating expenses, and insurance costs
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
