Home Instead is looking for an outstanding Lead CAREGiver to join our growing team. This unique leadership position combines meaningful hands-on client care with coaching, quality assurance, and CAREGiver support throughout our community.

About the Role
As a Lead CAREGiver, you'll spend your day providing exceptional care to seniors while also serving as one of our field leaders. You'll support both clients and fellow CAREGivers, helping ensure every client receives the highest standard of care.
This is a full-time position with approximately 8 hours of work each day, combining client visits, quality assurance visits, coaching, onboarding support, and community responsibilities.
Mileage is paid for travel between client visits and community support appointments, allowing you to stay connected with families and CAREGivers across our service area.
No two days are the same, one moment you may be helping a senior remain independent at home, and the next you'll be mentoring a new CAREGiver or checking in with a family to ensure they're receiving outstanding care.
What You'll Do: Client Care
- Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
- Assist with personal care including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support mobility, transfers, and safety
- Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping
- Provide medication reminders
- Help seniors remain comfortable, independent, and safe in their own homes
Leadership & Community Support
- Coach and mentor CAREGivers in the field
- Complete quality assurance visits and client wellness check-ins
- Support new CAREGivers during orientation and shadow shifts
- Deliver PPE and care supplies to clients and CAREGivers
- Assist with resolving care concerns and providing hands-on guidance
- Build strong relationships with clients, families, and CAREGivers
- Promote Home Instead's standards of excellence and compassionate care
- Support client and CAREGiver satisfaction initiatives
What We're Looking For: Required Qualifications
- PSW Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, or International Nursing Degree
- Minimum of 2 years of caregiving, PSW, or nursing experience
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for supporting seniors and mentoring others
- Valid G or G2 Driver's Licence
- Reliable vehicle with the ability to travel throughout the Bracebridge and surrounding communities
- Current First Aid & CPR Level C Certification
- Proof of required immunizations and TB testing
- Ability to obtain a clear Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check
