Full job description

Parkland Tree Care Ltd is currently looking to hire Arborist trainee / Ground workers. Experience is preferred; preference is given to anyone having related experience and interest. All candidates must have a driver’s license and transportation. Parkland Tree Care is a leader in quality tree care in the Winnipeg and surrounding area. Individuals must work well in a team environment.

This position is for full time employment (March-Dec). If you are looking for a summer job please do not apply.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

A desire to work outside in all weather conditions.
A love for trees.
They should be someone who is looking for long term employment. You will spend the first part of their employment working as a ground worker and then as they gain experience and demonstrate a desire and aptitude, they will progress to assisting an Arborist who is pruning and climbing trees in addition to ground work duties
The candidate must be in good physical condition.
A willingness to work hard in a challenging and rewarding work environment.
Must have a good driving record.
Air Brake endorsement on DL is a bonus.
Ability to back a trailer.
Mechanical abilities / knowledge.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
