Location: Heritage Tea Room - 417 River Road, St. Andrews, MB R0C 3A0
Position: Cook, Baker, & Catering Coordinator
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

The Heritage Tea Room is seeking an experienced and highly skilled culinary professional to lead our kitchen and oversee catering operations across the organization.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining scratch cooking and baking with catering and event coordination. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality food, managing kitchen operations, and planning and executing catering services and special events.

Responsibilities

Lead daily kitchen operations, including cooking and baking from scratch
Develop and execute seasonal menus and catering offerings
Plan, coordinate, and deliver catering services and events company-wide
Manage food production, scheduling, and event logistics
Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
Oversee inventory, ordering, and supplier coordination
Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards
Train and support kitchen staff as needed
Control food costs and minimize waste

Qualifications

5+ years culinary experience in a professional kitchen
Strong background in both cooking and baking (scratch kitchen experience required)
Experience in catering, banquet production, or event food service
Event coordination or hospitality operations experience considered a strong asset
Proven leadership or kitchen supervisory experience
Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities
Food Handler Certification required or willing to obtain
