Position Overview

As a Staff Accountant, you’ll be an integral part of our accounting team, contributing to a wide range of public practice functions. This role is ideal for someone with a strong academic background in accounting and hands-on experience in bookkeeping or financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of financial statements through accurate bookkeeping and accounting.
Prepare personal and corporate income tax returns.
Ensure compliance and accuracy in financial records using accounting best practices.
Collaborate with partners and managers on client engagements and internal projects.

Qualifications

Enrollment in the CPA program or completion of relevant university courses toward CPA designation.
Experience with accounting and tax software such as CaseWare, TaxPrep, QuickBooks, and Simply Accounting.
Familiarity with computerized payroll, bookkeeping, and record-keeping systems.
Experience preparing T4s and T5s is preferred.
