About Earth Max Construction

Earth Max Construction is a Manitoba-based heavy civil contractor specializing in earthworks, underground utilities, and water and sewer infrastructure. We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate field operations across multiple job sites. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, boots-on-the-ground environment and can lead teams, maintain daily progress, and keep projects running safely and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate day-to-day construction operations on active job sites
Supervise and support, foremen, and field crews
Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials across multiple projects
Monitor productivity, progress, and quality control in real time
Conduct regular site visits, safety walks, and inspections to ensure compliance with COR and Manitoba safety regulations
Communicate daily with Project Managers regarding scheduling, resourcing, and job progress
Troubleshoot issues onsite and provide immediate direction to keep work moving
Lead by example, promoting a positive and respectful work environment aligned with Earth Max values
Maintain accountability across crews to ensure deadlines and standards are met

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, including supervisory or coordination experience
Strong understanding of grading, excavation, and underground utilities (water/sewer)
Proven ability to coordinate multiple crews, subcontractors, and suppliers simultaneously
Solid grasp of construction timelines, productivity tracking, and job costing
Familiar with Manitoba construction regulations, COR procedures, and workplace safety protocols
Valid Class 5 driver’s license and willingness to travel between job sites
A strong communicator with a team-first mindset and commitment to jobsite excellence

Preferred Qualifications

First Aid, WHMIS, COR Leadership for Safety Excellence (asset)
Class 1 or 3 license (asset)
Experience using construction scheduling or reporting software (e.g., Heavy Job, MS Project, Excel)
