Full job description

B.C. Instruments has been serving customers in the aerospace, plastic injection molding, medical, nuclear, defence and electronic industries since 1971.

Successful candidates will be responsible for operating Nakamura-Tome, Okuma, Chiron or Hermle machinery together with trouble shooting a wide variety of materials.

Job Requirements:

Skilled operator of CNC mills & lathes - CNC certification preferred.
Ability to perform complete set-ups with appropriate cutting tool selection.
Thorough understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings and use of precision measuring instruments.
Demonstrates a high level of mechanical aptitude and skill when manual handling machine parts.
Knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments.
Trouble shooting abilities for work with a wide variety of materials.
Log all work timelines and tasks in Epicor.
Must be quality oriented with a strong attention to detail.
Maintain positive working relationships when interacting with other plant personnel.
Adheres to and maintains safe work practices, including WHMIS requirements.
Adept at reading/understanding Production Sheets for completion of accurate parts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
DAYS, NIGHTS, &/or 4-WEEK SHIFT ROTATIONS available (to be confirmed at interview).

These Vacant Full-Time Rotating Shift roles requires fluency in English (read, write and speak) AND 3-YEAR MINIMUM CNC experience, preferably in a Precision Machining Shop.

MUST have reliable personal transportation (no public transportation available).

Early Shift (7am) start time.
