Full job description

The Role

We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Roofing Labourer/Helper to support our roofing crews on commercial, industrial, and strata projects. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, being outdoors, and learning skilled trades.

No roofing experience is required — we will train the right candidate with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Assist roofers with installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems
Load and unload materials and equipment safely
Carry, stage, and prepare tools and supplies on site
Remove debris and maintain a clean, organized work area
Tear-off old roofing materials
Set up ladders, hoists, and safety equipment
Follow all site safety procedures and use proper PPE
Support crew leads with general labour tasks as needed
Work at heights and in various weather conditions

Qualifications & Skills

Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting 50+ lbs regularly)
Comfortable working at heights
Strong work ethic and reliability (shows up on time, every day)

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Construction or roofing experience is an asset but not required
Valid driver’s license and transportation preferred

Working Conditions

Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Frequent lifting, climbing, bending, and standing
Working on ladders, scaffolding, and rooftops
Rotating On-Call weekend work is required
Overtime occasionally
