We are looking for a Hindi or Punjabi speaking individual to assist a specific ongoing client assignment in their home in the Markham community.

We are looking to fill an open role with daytime weekday and weekend availability.

Responsibilities:

Companionship and conversation
Light housekeeping tasks and
Preparing traditional Indian meals
Medication and appointment reminders
Personal Care assistance
Alzheimer’s Care
Hospice and Palliative support

Requirements:

Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
Possessing a valid driver's license, a vehicle, and valid auto insurance is an asset
Complete a criminal background check
Ability to speak and understand either the Hindi or Punjabi language
Ability to communicate effectively in English for communication with office team and documentation
Completion of Personal Support Worker diploma, OR Completion of a Nursing Degree in any country, OR current enrollment in a nursing program are all assets, but not required
Must be available on Sundays

This position requires availability from 10:30am to 1:30pm on a few weekdays (Monday-Saturday) each week. Are you able to commit to this schedule?
This position requires consistent availability every Sunday during the daytime. Are you able to commit to this schedule?
Are you comfortable preparing traditional Indian meals for a client as part of your caregiving responsibilities?
