About Peregrine Professional Services

Peregrine Professional Services is a modern accounting firm serving entrepreneurs and growing businesses across Canada.

Our primary focus is Client Accounting Services, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and accounting support. We leverage technology and efficient processes to help clients maintain accurate financial records and make informed business decisions.

We are looking for a Client Accounting Associate to join our team and gain practical experience working with real clients, real businesses, and real accounting engagements.

Students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for someone interested in building a long-term career in accounting.

You will work directly with experienced professionals while developing practical skills in bookkeeping, financial reporting, accounting software, client service, and business operations.

Successful candidates will have opportunities to expand their responsibilities as they develop their technical and professional skills.

Responsibilities

Review and categorize financial transactions
Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations
Maintain client financial records
Support month-end bookkeeping procedures
Prepare supporting schedules and working papers
Organize client documents and records
Assist with bookkeeping and accounting projects
Support client information requests
Maintain accurate records within accounting software

QualificationsRequired

Strong attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Professional attitude and willingness to learn
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

Preferred

Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in Accounting, Commerce, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Interest in pursuing the CPA designation
Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software
Previous bookkeeping, administrative, customer service, or office experience
