Linkwave is looking for a Senior RF Designer to join our team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our cutting-edge communication systems.
You will work with advanced RF equipment, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to the innovation and excellence that drive our success.
In order to fulfill the tasks at hand, you’ll need to be highly experienced with this entire stack:
Indoor Radio Systems Design
- Designing RF coverage solutions for in-building locations (Malls, Underground, Stores, public avenue, etc.)
- Installation project management and technical oversight
- Commissioning and integration of in-building radio systems
Supporting Site Acquisition and Presales Team
- Provide valuable technical information for landlord design approval
- Work closely with other Engineering and Operations team members related to in-building projects and provide support where required
Ad-hoc Tasks
- Assist in architectural modeling of building floor plans
- Updating and reporting design status at weekly basis
- Ensure the design criteria is up to date and cascaded to all stakeholders
- Perform, record, collect and organize all data and documentation

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Engineering Technologist program or equivalent
- iBwave training/experience
- Experience designing and commissioning/optimizing indoor radio systems
- Ability to produce detailed technical plans and execute them
- Demonstrated tendence to take ownership, prioritize effort, and drive tasks & projects to completion
- Fundamental understanding of the physics behind RF wave propagation theory
- Ability to apply logarithmic RF math concepts to perform power link budget calculations, and compare different products via their technical specifications
- Ability to use basic office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook/Email, Adobe Acrobat
- Excellent customer interface skills with a strong teamwork focus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Innovative and open-minded to new techniques and technologies
- Attitude focused on team success and improving the customer experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Possession of a valid G class driver’s license in good standing
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed for work-related tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
- P.Eng Certification is a strong asset
- DAS System training/certification for: any of the DAS OEM platforms: ADRF, Andrew (CommScope), BTI (Sunwave/Corning), TE, Mobile Access, SOLiD, Nextivity
- Training.certification for NR (5G), LTE, UTMS/HSPA, CDMA, GSM, P25, Wi-Fi, optical communications, is an asset
