We are looking for experienced, energetic and motivated Restaurant Managers. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating the operations of the restaurant and report to the General Manager. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience managing high volume bakery, café, or other restaurant concepts. You are expected to work alongside team members on the floor at all time to manage the operations and help train all the positions required. You will schedule the activities of the team, review their performance, and coach them on a continual basis. You will also monitor inventory and supplies, and ensure that appropriate product and stock is available to meet restaurant’s needs.
What to expect in your role as a Restaurant Manager:
Operational:
· Display a “Guests are first” attitude and lead as an example.
· Train and hold the team accountable for delivering an exceptional guest service.
· Train and develop team members and motivate the team to achieve targets.
· Comply with and enforce all Operational, Food Safety and Brand standards.
· Develop work schedules and assign duties to all team members.
· Maximize team member coverage at all times, performs the role of Floor Leadership and works as required in various areas to maintain the optimal guest service level.
· Communicate with all shifts on day to day operations and critical areas of focus.
· Complete all required shift documentation and follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.
· Support and run company-wide incentive programs.
· Displays knowledge of and works in compliance with applicable legislation including food safety, health and safety, and employment standards.
Finance:
· Plan budgets, maximize profits and achieve sales and transaction targets including control of Food/Paper/Labour costs in the restaurant.
· Responsible for daily cash procedures and assist with financial reporting, ordering of supplies and overall restaurant maintenance and cleanliness.
· Perform various financial activities such as cash handling, deposit preparation and timecard verification for payroll purpose.
People management
· Display a Servant Leadership attitude and help support company's core values.
· Evaluate team members, identifying training needs, problems, concerns as well as opportunities for improvement.
· Recognize individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational tools and programs as well as by finding new, creative and effective methods of recognition.
· Provide ongoing performance feedback as well as conduct and record regular performance reviews.
· Building the restaurants’ “bench strength” by identifying and developing high potential team members for progression to the next level.
· Ensure all restaurant policies are followed during the shift (e.g. cash policies, meal and break policies, food safety policies) by working alongside team members on the floor and give constructive feedbacks.
· Make sure best practices and training system are implemented consistently across the restaurant.
· Promote a respectful team environment and manage team members with open communication and understanding by daily shift huddles and other team meetings on a regular basis.
· Enforces employee compliance in regard to the restaurant’s health and safety policies and procedures.
· Reports all injuries/illness, accidents, unsafe conditions, security incidents and any contravention of health and safety legislation, policies and procedures to the General Manager or Owner.

· Have at least 2 years of manager experience in the food services industry, ideally in a high volume bakery, café, or other restaurant concepts.
· Have experience supervising Team Members, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
· Have experience ordering and monitoring supplies, and ensuring appropriate product inventories are in place.
· Have strong working knowledge of hospitality industry principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
· Have strong organizational and communication skills.
· Have strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.
