About Fitness Avenue
Founded in 2007, Fitness Avenue is a proudly Canadian leader in high-performance gym equipment. We serve everyone from home-gym enthusiasts to professional athletes, providing the tools they need to inspire progress and performance.
Quality & Value We bridge the gap between commercial-grade quality and industry-leading value. By streamlining our global supply chain and rigorously testing every product, we deliver superior equipment without the inflated price tags.
Scale & Service With a high-volume e-commerce engine and a strategic network of retail showrooms, we operate at the intersection of digital efficiency and local expertise. We don’t just move inventory; we build relationships through reliability, speed, and a commitment to our customers’ success.
The Opportunity
Fitness Avenue is a high-volume, national leader in the gym equipment industry. While we have the sophisticated infrastructure in place, we are looking for the Operational Engine to drive our daily execution.
We are seeking a "Player-Coach" to take direct command of our primary warehouse floor. This is a hands-on leadership role designed for a manager who thrives on the concrete—overseeing a dedicated crew, coordinating with our retail stores, and ensuring our e-commerce fulfillment is the fastest in the industry. You aren't just managing a facility; you are ensuring every single barbell, rack, and plate moves with purpose and precision.
Your Impact
Leading from the Front: You will be the daily pulse of the warehouse. By managing our floor team with a "lead-by-example" mentality, you will foster a culture of high productivity, discipline, and mutual respect.
Optimizing the Flow: You will take our existing systems and maximize their output. Your impact will be measured by the speed of our e-commerce packing lines and the meticulous organization of our high-ticket inventory.
The Retail Bridge: You will ensure our retail network never skips a beat. By managing the logistics of store replenishment, you guarantee that our showroom floors are always stocked and ready for our local customers.
Inventory Integrity: You will be the guardian of our stock data. Through rigorous cycle counting and inbound inspection, you will ensure that our digital inventory is a perfect reflection of our physical shelves, protecting the business from discrepancies.
The Service Connection: You will act as the vital link between the warehouse and the office. By coordinating directly with Customer Service, you turn fulfillment challenges into seamless solutions for our customers.
The Mandate
Team Management: Direct leadership of a specialized warehouse crew, including scheduling, training, and real-time performance accountability.
Fulfillment Excellence: Oversight of the end-to-end "Pick, Pack, and Ship" process for high volume e-commerce orders, meeting strict daily carrier cut-offs.
Store Replenishment: Coordination of internal logistics to ensure our retail locations receive accurate, timely, and well-organized inventory transfers.
Inbound & Quality Control: Managing the offloading of international containers and domestic shipments, ensuring all goods are inspected and "received" into the system immediately.
Safety & Facility Ownership: Maintaining a safe, clean, and professional warehouse environment, including the oversight of equipment maintenance and safety protocols.
Performance Incentives: In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible for annual performance-based bonuses ranging from 5% to 10%, tied to warehouse accuracy, speed, and safety KPIs.
The Non-Negotiables
Proven Leadership: Minimum of 3+ years of direct experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar. You have managed small-to-mid-sized teams and know how to drive results in a high-pressure environment.
Professional Grit: 5+ years of overall experience in warehouse operations. You are a "hands-on" leader who is comfortable on the floor and understands the physical realities of moving heavy duty equipment.
Logistics Coordination: Proven experience managing multi-channel distribution (E-commerce and Retail). You understand how to prioritize different "customers" within the same workflow.
Systems Literacy: High proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and shipping platforms. You use technology to organize work, not just track it.
Education: Diploma required: in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be accepted for exceptional candidates.
Operational Excellence: Background in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies, or a solid history of enhancing productivity through metric-based strategies, is considered a significant advantage.
Why Join Fitness Avenue?
Direct Authority: You are the primary leader on the warehouse floor, with the autonomy to execute our vision and lead your team to success.
Sophistication: Work with premium equipment and modern logistics systems in a business that leads the Canadian fitness market.
Benefits: Competitive salary, performance-based bonuses, and a comprehensive package including Dental care, Disability insurance, Extended health care, Life insurance, On-site parking, and Vision care.
