Full job description

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Bakery Production Supervisor, the Bakery Production Associate (Bread, Cake &/or other Pastries) is responsible for supporting the Bakery Production Supervisor producing the assigned products (Bread, Cake &/or other Pastries) based on orders received, control quality, freshness, inventory and wastage.

You Will

Produce the correct quantity of assigned products (Bread, Cake &/or other Pastries) based on orders received
Perform production duties as assigned for various products (Bread, Cake, Puddings &/or other Pastries), which may include but are not limited to:
- Dough mixing, cutting, rolling, laying, forming, filling, shaping, slicing…etc.
- Prepare various fillings such as fruits, meat, paste, custards…etc.
- Control fermentation and baking time and monitor the temperature of the cooler and oven
- Decoration of Bread, Cake &/or other Pastries
Control product (Bread, Cake &/or other Pastries) quality, freshness, inventory level and wastage
Responsible for the cleanliness, hygiene, equipment and tools maintenance follow up and workplace safety of the production area
Assist to answer customers’ enquiries
Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior(s)

You Should Have / Be

Accountable, pleasant and is able to take initiative
Possess knowledge and prior experience in making bakery products (Bread, Cake &/or other Pastries), including but are not limited to:
- Dough mixing, cutting, rolling, laying, forming, filling, shaping, slicing…etc.
- Prepare various fillings such as fruits, meat, paste, custards…etc.
- Control fermentation and baking time and monitor the temperature of the cooler and oven
- Decoration of Bread, Cake &/or other Pastries
Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety and food safety (Food Safe Certification requires)
Have a good understanding of tools & equipment relevant to the job
Good communication skills , able to communicate in English and Chinese (Cantonese &/or Mandarin)
Good organization, and problem-solving skills
A good team player
Flexible to work in various shifts, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, morning and evening hours

This is an active job posting for a currently vacant position. We are recruiting to fill this role as part of our ongoing operational needs.
