Barista – Coco Espresso Bar

About Coco Espresso Bar

Coco Espresso Bar is a modern Italian-inspired café in Toronto, offering quality espresso, specialty coffee, pastries, food, gelato, and a welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Barista to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Prepare espresso-based drinks, coffee, teas, and specialty beverages according to our recipes and standards
Provide friendly and professional customer service
Take customer orders accurately and process payments
Prepare and serve pastries, sandwiches, gelato, and other menu items
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment
Keep the coffee bar, pastry area, tables, floors, and washrooms clean throughout the shift
Restock supplies, pastries, cups, and other products as needed
Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures
Operate and properly care for espresso machines and other café equipment
Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality and attention to detail
Support opening and closing duties
Follow all company policies and team standards

Qualifications:

Previous barista or café experience is an asset
Experience with espresso machines is preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Positive, energetic, and professional attitude
Reliable and punctual
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Food Handler certification and Smart Serve are an asset.

Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
