Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Receptionist/Gym Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and clients, managing front desk operations with excellent customer service skills. This role requires strong organizational abilities, proficiency in office software, and the capacity to handle multiple administrative tasks efficiently.

Experience in fitness or activity center settings is highly recommended, but not mandatory. The Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and creating a welcoming environment for all visitors.

Responsibilities

Greet visitors and clients warmly, providing exceptional customer support
Manage phone calls, emails, and direct inquiries appropriately
Schedule appointments and maintain calendars using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools
Perform data entry tasks accurately using computer skills and clerical experience
Handle filing, record keeping, and document management with attention to detail
Assist with billing, bookkeeping, and QuickBooks entries as needed
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
Support administrative tasks such as proofreading documents and managing correspondence
Perform routine facility tours to organize equipment and ensure machines operate smoothly
Provide support for gym operations and class scheduling

Requirements

Fluent in English
Proven experience in office administration, clerical work, or customer service roles
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Google Workspace
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills for handling customer interactions
Attention to detail for proofreading, filing, and maintaining accurate records
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while supporting team needs
Prior experience in fitness or activity centers is advantageous but not required
High school diploma or equivalent; additional administrative or office training is a plus

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Temporary

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
