CNC Setup Machinist – Edmonton, Alberta

Ontario Applicants Welcome | Relocation Required

Source Machine is a growing precision machining company located in Edmonton, Alberta, and we are looking for experienced Senior CNC Setup Machinists interested in relocating to Edmonton for a stable, long-term opportunity.

We operate a modern, well-equipped CNC facility and are looking for experienced machinists who can independently take a CNC lathe from setup through first-off production.

Afternoon Shift

Monday to Thursday
3:20 PM – 1:50 AM
Four-day work week

Key Responsibilities

Perform complete CNC lathe setups from start through first-off approval.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
Set tooling, workholding, machine offsets, and cutting parameters.
Verify first-off parts and make adjustments as required.
Complete in-process inspections and maintain quality requirements.
Troubleshoot machining and setup issues.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Support efficient production and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum 5–7 years of CNC lathe setup experience.
Strong experience independently completing full machine setups.
Experience with Mazak/Mazatrol and/or Doosan/Fanuc CNC lathes preferred.
Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, workholding, and GD&T.
Programming is not required, but Mazatrol or G-code programming experience is a strong asset.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Reliable, quality-focused, and interested in long-term employment.

Pay: $34.00-$41.00 per hour
