Job description:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Dental Receptionist/Assistant to join our team. This dual-role position combines front desk responsibilities with clinical support to help ensure an efficient, welcoming, and high-quality experience for our patients. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental practice.

Dental Receptionist:

Welcome and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner.
Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries.
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
Verify insurance information and process patient payments.
Maintain accurate patient records and update personal and medical information.
Coordinate with the dental team to ensure an efficient daily schedule.
Manage recall and appointment reminder systems.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.

Dental Assistant:

Prepare treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment according to infection control standards.
Take and develop dental radiographs
Prepare dental materials and instruments for procedures.
Provide patients with post-treatment instructions and oral hygiene education.
Monitor inventory and restock clinical supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and infection prevention protocols.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dental office is an asset.
Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
Experience with dental practice management software
Strong computer and administrative skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.
Dental Assisting education or certification preferred.
