We are now hiring for a Full Time/Part Time Seasonal Workers Dishwashers/ Make & Pack/Food Assembly for all shifts, to work in our flight kitchen - operations located at 2498 Britannia Rd E, Mississauga, ON L5P 1B1.
Overview Dishwasher:
- A dishwasher/wares wash person will manually load used dishware and cutlery into automatic dishwashing machinery.
- Further, they will monitor incoming used dishware and cutlery for recyclable items and linens and unload clean dishware items and stack accordingly in corresponding racks.
· Checking flight bill – the worker reviews the flight bills to determine what items are required for each flight.
· The counter height is 36 inches high, which may require the worker to bend slightly. This activity is done intermittently throughout the day and the bending is not required for any prolonged periods of time.
· Assembling flights –commissary trolleys that have been rebuilt are brought over to the assembly area by the bar/boutique builders.
· The assembler stages the trolleys according to flight number. *Headsets, hampers and satchels are added, as requested, to the trolleys to complete the flight. Fully assembled flights are pushed into the cold room to await pickup.
· The worker marks the flight complete on a board in the cold room.
Overview Make & Pack:
A Make & Pack employee will assemble airline meals containing food and food related items. Create trays based upon a predetermined gold standard and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Overview Food Assembly:
A Food Production Assistant is responsible for assembling/plating various food items into airline specified equipment, as per the airline menu specifications, following all the operational procedures regarding food safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for plating/packing food into standard airline equipment as per the specified airlines menu specifications and catering order
- Use variety of portioning tools effectively to ensure proper weights/portion size is being followed all the time, as specified in the menu specification
- Responsible for plating SPML’s (dietary meals) based on customer menu specifications and following Gate Gourmet established food safety procedures
- Complete HACCP documentation real time as per the company’s established HACCP guidelines
- Co-ordinate with other internal section – Prep kitchen and other assembly section to ensure flight assembly is completed as per the flight ready time
- Identifying appropriate product based on menu specifications listed
- Making sure FIFO is being followed all the time with attention to expiry dates
- Check products and packaging for basic quality defects
- Clean and sanitize work stations before and after use
- Complete paperwork that includes filling up wastage reports/ log book.
- Communicate effectively to supervisors and Team lead

· Work 8 hours shifts that will include all shifts (mornings, afternoons or nights) weekdays,
· Weekends and holidays
· Work overtime when required

ENVIROMENT:
· Will be exposed to temperature changes and noise
· Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty pounds(50) pounds
· Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours
