Job Summary
GeneBio is a Canadian biotech company dedicated to supporting academic and hospital-based research laboratories, primarily in biological and life-science research, by providing high-quality reagents, consumables, and practical research solutions.
We are strongly encouraging applications from new research associates, recent graduates, and MSc-level candidates in Biology or related life-science disciplines who have hands-on biological research experience and are interested in transitioning into a customer-facing, research-support role. Prior sales experience is not required and is considered a bonus only — full training will be provided.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy staying close to biology research, take initiative, and are motivated by helping other researchers succeed.

What This Role Is About
This is not a traditional sales role. It is a biology-focused, research-facing position that requires curiosity, initiative, and a strong work ethic.
You will succeed in this role if you:
- Enjoy discussing biology research workflows (e.g., molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry)

- Are motivated by helping labs troubleshoot, succeed, and move faster
- Communicate clearly and professionally with researchers from graduate students to principal investigators

Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary research liaison for academic and hospital biology laboratories
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with researchers, lab managers, and core facilities
- Understand customer biological research workflows, constraints, and objectives, and recommend appropriate solutions
- Present products and solutions to biology research groups in laboratory or institutional settings
- Provide consistent follow-up and support to ensure customer success
- Collaborate with internal teams (product, technical support, operations) to address customer needs
- Identify opportunities to support ongoing and new biological research programs
Qualifications
- BSc in Biology or a closely related life-science discipline required
- MSc in Biology strongly preferred
- Hands-on biological research laboratory experience strongly preferred
- Biology lab manager experience is a significant asset
- Sales or customer service experience is not required and considered a bonus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated initiative, work ethic, and willingness to learn
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently
- Ability to thrive in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment
