This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Business Development Coordinator specializing in Internal Sales Pricing to join our Commercial team, in our Toronto or Montreal office. The successful candidate will assist with the growth and development of Albatrans Canada. Duties will include account management, quoting, customer service, troubleshooting obstacles for alternatives and sales support.

Duties:

Negotiate rates on behalf of the company and our clients for the lanes and services required.
Maintain and grow contact with assigned customer accounts from an Internal Sales perspective, ensuring all customer needs/ requests are addressed in a timely manner in coordination with the account manager.
Market analysis to ensure the company is continuously updated with trends and changes to the current conditions, including but not limited to changes of services, surcharge implementations and new service routings on offer from carriers.
Prepare quotations for clients via the company CRM system.
Provide costing analysis and detailed breakdown to the operations department on sold services
Handle intercompany requests from overseas offices.
Maintain the company CRM database, including: ensuring all clients are set up in the CRM system and are assigned to the correct sales and operations referents, and that clients’ contact information is correct.
Participate in the preparation of periodic tenders for current and prospective clients in coordination with the commercial team, overseas offices and the applicable service providers.
Maintain relationships with customers by conducting bi-weekly check-ins and participating in quarterly meetings with customers and account managers.
Maintain and develop customer contracts in line with the account manager.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 -5 years of experience in international shipping/freight forwarding
Experience within a sales/ account management role is desirable.
Understanding all modes of transport Ocean/ OTR/ Airfreight is desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong English language communication skills (both oral and written)
Ability to prioritize and manage workload
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong networking skills

Salary range $60,000 to $70,000 /year
