Position Overview

World Meats is seeking a reliable and hardworking Grinding Associate to support daily grinding operations, including the production of ground beef, burgers, sausage, and dog food products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality, food safety, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

Produce burgers, ground beef, sausage, and dog food products according to company standards and recipes.
Operate grinding equipment safely and efficiently.
Select and install the appropriate grinding plate to achieve the required particle size.
Load meat into the grinder and position collection bins or trucks under the discharge spout.
Prepare meat products according to recipes, ensuring accurate seasoning, texture, and consistency.
Measure and mix spices and seasonings as directed.
Portion, weigh, label, and package products for distribution.
Complete required production paperwork, including batch records and production logs.
Maintain product quality while meeting daily production targets.
Follow all food safety, HACCP, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work areas after each production run.
Select and weigh meat from the cooler for grinding as required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Assist with other production duties as assigned.

Requirements

Previous experience in a food production or meat processing environment is preferred.
Experience with meat grinding or sausage production is considered an asset.
Ability to follow recipes, production procedures, and food safety guidelines.
Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and HACCP is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 70 lbs.
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and carry items throughout an 8-hour or longer shift.
Comfortable working in a refrigerated and freezer environment (-10°C to +4°C).
Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining accuracy.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00 per hour
