About the Role
Cross Cosmic Immigration Services is seeking an experienced and client-focused Immigration Counsellor who would work as consulting advisor at the initial stage to join our growing team in Mississauga. . This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in Canadian immigration services, client consultations, case management, and stakeholder communication.
The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for initial consultation of the prospective clients, conduct preliminary assessments, guide clients on suitable immigration pathways, manage CRM records, assist with file preparation, and coordinate/report to our RCICs. This client-facing role is critical in bridging the gap between initial prospect inquiry and formal RCIC consultation. You will be responsible for screening prospects, providing basic guidance on Canadian immigration pathways.This position does not provide immigration advice requiring licensure and will work under the supervision and direction of the firm's RCIC(s) where applicable.

Compensation : $2900/month [for first 3 months], After 3 months working on Performance Commissions only
Pay Schedule : Monthly and then Bi-Weekly
Education : Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
Key Responsibilities :
Client Consultation & Counselling
- Conduct initial screening sessions and primary consultations (in-person and virtual) of prospective clients. Gather client information and documentation for preliminary eligibility reviews.
- Identify potential immigration pathways based on client profiles, including:* Study Permit pathways* Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs)* Express Entry programs* Work Permit options* Family Sponsorship pathways* Business and Entrepreneur pathways
- Propose "Immigration Linked Employment Services" from the channel partner to the clients lacking Canadian experience to improve their PR eligibility.
- Prepare detailed client summaries and handoff notes for RCIC review.
- Ensure a seamless "takeover" process for Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) after initial qualification.
- Manage all consultations documentation in CRM systems.
Case Management & Filing Support
- Coordinate with the Filing & Processing team to ensure complete and timely submission of applications.
- Oversee and assist in the preparation of application files to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Review submitted documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely progression of client files.
- Monitor case milestones, deadlines, and follow-up requirements.
- Maintain organized digital and physical client records.
Operational & CRM Management
- Maintain and update lead status and client interactions within Zoho CRM.
- Utilize immigration software tools (e.g., CaseEasy) to track case progress and coordinate with clients whenever needed.
- Track lead statuses, client interactions, and conversion metrics.
- Generate reports and maintain accurate data entry.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as a primary client-facing representative throughout the onboarding process.
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding documentation, timelines, and next steps.
- Follow up with clients whose consultation has been completed to improve conversion rates.
- Deliver exceptional client service and maintain a professional experience throughout the client journey.
Stakeholder Communication
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, educational institutions, employers, and other stakeholders as required.
- Escalate complex cases appropriately to RCICs and senior team members.
- Maintain professional written and verbal communication across all channels.Manage stakeholder communication, acting as a professional liaison between clients, internal teams, and external vendors.
QualificationsMandatory Requirements
- Immigration Expertise: Minimum 2 years of experience in Canadian immigration OR International education consulting OR immigration support services.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or equivalent post-secondary education.
- Client Facing Experience: Experience in a professional, client-facing advisory or pre-assessment session.
- Communication: Exceptional English proficiency with strong persuasion and stakeholder management skills. Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM management (Zoho CRM preferred) and general office productivity suites (Google Workspace).
Preferred Skills
- Multi-lingual abilities (Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, or Urdu) are highly valued.
- Experience working alongside RCICs or immigration law professionals.
- Experience in immigration case processing and document preparation.
- Sales, admissions, recruitment, or client success experience.
- Familiarity with CaseEasy or similar immigration software.
