Position: Registered Nurse(x1)-POAC

Dept: Pre-Operative Assessment Clinic (POAC), Ambulatory Care Surgery

Key Qualifications:

Candidate will be a graduate of a recognized College or School of Nursing and preferably hold a Baccalaureate degree.
Current certification or eligibility for Certification of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario is required
Minimum of 3-5 years of acute post-operative surgical nursing care experience is required
POAC experience is preferred
Demonstrated consistency in approachability, clinical excellence, patience, respectful interactions and diplomacy
Highly developed critical thinking and reasoning skills for problem-solving and managing emergency situations
Ability to effectively prioritize patient and family needs in conjunction with the interprofessional care team
Professional communication skills both oral and written
Commitment to life-long learning and evidence of on-going professional development
Competence with Epic and computer documentation an asset
Satisfactory attendance and performance required
